History of Broadblue

Broadblue Catamarans was established in early 2001 as a First Class Catamaran Design and Manufacturing Company. Our highly skilled and practiced team are commended for the design, development and manufacture of quality ocean going Catamrans.

Broadblue Catamarans are designed and engineered for long distance cruising. They offer sparkling performance under sail, even when fully loaded, and all models can be sailed short-handed without the need to leave the cockpit. All Broadblue Catamarans are immensely safe, strong and capable, each is hand built for her discerning owner using Lloyds approved materials.

Broadblue has provided the benchmark of standard practice for incorporating practical and realistic features on a cruising catamaran. We believe that we have fashioned our yachts so that the curves and contours compliment a variety of tastes.

Broadblue Catamarans has a strong partnership with a state of the art furniture manufacturer, which produces all the beautifully, hand crafted furnishings you will find on board all of the Broadblue Catamarans.

The Broadblue 385:

Is bound to be one of the great success stories of the decade. Following firmly in her big sisters wake she is simply an amazing sailing boat.
Sleek streamlined styling and head swerving good looks, unsurpassed performance on and off the wind, excellent stability with a fantastically quiet and smooth ride; the legacy of her heritage!
In family tradition the Broadblue 385 is quality through and through. She combines a vast number of futuristic and fashionable features with an outstandingly high quality of finish.
Her exquisite sculptured cockpit is beautifully presented to include loads of lounging area, dining table, helm seat, instrument console, all sail control lines at hand, large bimini with removable front windows and sliding toughened glass door to the saloon. Her exterior is further complemented by wide side decks, generous foredeck, plenty of sunbathing space, pulpit seats and totally self stowing electric anchor system operated from the helm or foredeck.
Known as the 385 she is actually as close to 39ft as you can get. While proportionally she is a scaled down 435 with the same incredible hull design the coach roof has retained similar dimensions allowing for a very spacious saloon and galley. At the same time the cabins have been cleverly designed to maximise space and offer generous berths & good stowage.
Her accommodation is luxurious utilising masses of polished light Oak and sumptuous fabrics. Full standing headroom throughout; exceptionally spacious saloon/galley with panoramic 360 vision; unequalled light & ventilation, opening forward saloon windows to allow through breeze all ensures great comfort aboard.
Fabulously equipped galley with state of the art appliances including s/s oven & hob, front opening fridge and top loading freezer/icebox.
Stylish chart/communications area with up to the minute instruments & Chartplotter-GPS. Two beautifully appointed heads, one very large complete with toilet, vanity unit & separate shower cubicle. The second en-suite to the aft cabin c/w toilet, sink & shower.
Cabins: Three spacious double cabins with large double beds, good stowage and ventilation; two opening hatches in each cabin. Two single berths, one in each middle hull both with good stowage cupboard below the berths and good ventilation via the saloon and opening hatch above the berth.
